His railroad photograph collection consists of 274 black and white negatives taken by him and others and are part of the Great Lakes Railway Historical Collection. Bill was an active trader of negatives as that was part of the railroad photography hobby at the time. Fifty-five different railroads are represented in the Dewey Collection.
